Aandalsnes, Norway

A small Norwegian port located on the shores of the Romsdalsfjord near where the Isfjorden begins. It is located at the mouth of the Rauma River.

Lowry arrived in Aandalsnes in late August 1931 from Alesund en route to Oslo to meet Nordahl Grieg. Lowry travelled by the night train from the port to Oslo.
